Spring-Loaded Workhorse SPWH Casters — Up to 1,200 lb

The SPWH Series puts a spring suspension into Hamilton's proven Workhorse rigging — up to 1,200 lb per caster. The spring absorbs floor-seam, dock-plate, and tow-bar impact so it isn't transmitted into the load, the equipment, or the operator; the Workhorse base provides the track record underneath.

Spring suspension on a known-good rig

Hamilton's Workhorse line is one of the most-specified industrial caster platforms there is. The SPWH series adds a built-in spring to that rigging: as the caster crosses an impact, the spring compresses and absorbs the shock. You get the suspension benefit — less product damage, less equipment fatigue, less operator strain — on a rig base with a proven service record, not an unfamiliar platform.

Where SPWH fits

Tow-line carts that take start-stop coupling shock, equipment crossing rough floors and expansion joints loaded, and material-handling rigs that carry sensitive loads. At up to 1,200 lb per caster, SPWH covers the medium-duty range where shock absorption matters but the load doesn't require a heavier spring platform.

Common questions

What is the SPWH series?

Spring-Loaded Workhorse — Hamilton's proven Workhorse rigging with a built-in spring suspension, to 1,200 lb per caster.

How does the spring help?

It compresses over impacts — floor seams, dock plates, tow-bar shock — absorbing the hit instead of transmitting it to the load and equipment.

SPWH vs SPCH?

Both are spring-loaded. SPWH builds on Workhorse rigging (to 1,200 lb); SPCH builds on Champion rigging (to 1,630 lb).
