All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

2-1/2 x 3-5/8 inch top-plate casters for light institutional and furniture-grade frames. Catalog chips cover wheel diameters 4 in, polyolefin and stainless treads, and capacities 275 to 500 lb. Replace worn corners in matched sets when possible so the cart tracks straight under load. Bring plate and stem measurements when replacing unmarked casters so the new corners sit level. These light-duty options cover everyday light institutional and furniture-grade frames without jumping to extreme forged series.
