All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

4 x 4-1/2 inch top-plate casters for chemical, food-contact, and washdown carts. Expect wheel diameters 4, 8 in, nylon, steel, and stainless treads, and capacities 1,200 to 1,250 lb. Match bolt-hole spacing or stem diameter to the frame before you standardize a fleet. Use kingpinless or heavy plate series when shock loads keep shearing kingpin races. These medium-duty options cover everyday chemical, food-contact, and washdown carts without jumping to extreme forged series.
