W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

40 Series casters for chemical, food-contact, and washdown carts. Expect top plates around 4 x 4-1/2, wheel diameters 4-1/2, 6 in, and nylon and rubber treads. Confirm stem length and thread pitch on stem mounts so the shoulder seats flush in the boss. Size capacity from the heaviest corner load with shock margin, and keep overall height consistent across the set.
