All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.
Bent frames, broken welds, loose handles, damaged child seats, carts that will not nest. CasterHQ repairs shopping carts on-site across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, so stores keep their fleets in service instead of replacing carts that still have years left in them.
Request a repair quoteShopping cart repair covers the cart itself: frame straightening, weld repair, handle and bumper replacement, child seat and restraint replacement, nesting correction, and anti-theft wheel systems. Wheel and caster work is quoted per caster; carts with structural damage are flagged remove-from-service rather than patched. Crews work on-site at your store, scheduled around business hours.
Bent frames trued, cracked and broken welds re-welded, corner damage corrected. Carts that no longer track straight or nest usually have a frame problem, not a wheel problem, and we diagnose which before quoting.
Loose or broken handles, damaged child seat assemblies, missing or torn restraint straps. Child seat condition is a liability item for the store, so these repairs are documented per cart with photos.
Carts that jam in the corral, gates that will not swing, and locked anti-theft wheels that will not release. We service the common wheel-lock systems and free up the fleet without damaging the deterrent hardware.
A new retail cart costs several hundred dollars before freight. The common failures cost a fraction of that to repair, which is why fleets are repaired in place until frame integrity or rust says otherwise. The rule we apply on inspection: repair when the frame is straight and welds are sound; remove from service when structural members are cracked, rust is structural, or a child seat cannot be restored to safe condition. You get counts of each in the report, per store.
We walk the fleet, tag each cart, and record the defect: frame, weld, handle, seat, wheels, nesting. You get counts, not guesses.
One quote, itemized per repair type, with per-cart pricing and any remove-from-service recommendations listed separately. Same-week turnaround.
Crew repairs the fleet at your store around business hours. Before and after photos, parts used, and a completion summary per location.
Squealing, dragging, or veering carts are usually a wheel and caster problem, quoted per caster. Fleets on a schedule belong in a maintenance program instead of one-off repairs. Need parts only? Shopping cart wheels and casters ship nationwide.
