Its construction features Blickle Softhane polyurethane on a robust aluminium wheel center, offering a smooth, quiet operation suitable for a variety of flooring types. While the caster is designed for durability, its specific material composition does not support use in environments requiring high heat resistance, corrosion resistance, or static dissipation. This makes it an excellent choice for general, not specialized, industrial applications.
Ideal for applications requiring a clean operational environment, the Blickle caster ensures minimal impact on floors with its non-marking and non-staining features. However, for applications involving high temperatures, chemical exposure, or the need for electrical conductivity, alternative models may be more suitable. This 4" x 1-9/16" Polyurethane Swivel Caster with Brake – 550 lb is rated to 550 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Polyurethane wheel with a 1-9/16" tread width. Polyurethane protects finished floors, rolls quietly, and resists most chemicals while carrying heavy loads.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 2-1/2" x 3-5/8" plate and a 1-3/4" x 2-13/16" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel with Brake caster with a wheel brake. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. The brake locks the wheel to hold the load in place. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -20°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Polyurethane wheel performs best on smooth to semi-smooth floors including sealed concrete, tile, and epoxy. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
