All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Blickle premium swivel casters with kingpinless construction: zero swivel-bearing slack, 4x dynamic safety factor, sealed precision swivel bearings rated for continuous duty. CasterHQ stocks 45 Blickle swivel configurations across LE light-ergonomic, Heavy-Tec heavy industrial, Better-Tec stainless pharma, and Best-Tec extreme-duty series.
Blickle premium swivel casters use kingpinless construction: a precision-machined raceway with sealed bearings replaces the traditional kingpin pivot. This eliminates kingpin loosening, swivel slack development, and shock-load shimmy that plague conventional kingpin rigs. Series include LE swivel (light-ergonomic), Heavy-Tec swivel (heavy industrial kingpinless), Better-Tec stainless swivel (pharma wash-down), Best-Tec extreme swivel (up to 12,000 lb per caster), and Compact swivel (narrow-clearance equipment).
Traditional kingpin swivel rigs develop slack at the kingpin under shock loads — the kingpin loosens, swivel develops play, caster eventually 'shimmies' under load. Blickle kingpinless eliminates this entirely.
Kingpin construction was developed in the 1920s as a low-cost swivel solution. Kingpinless came in the 1980s as the premium evolution. For continuous-duty industrial use, the 30-60% premium pays back inside 18-24 months in reduced replacement frequency.
Sealed precision bearings deliver consistent low-resistance swivel: typical breakaway force 8-12% of vertical load (vs. 18-25% on standard kingpin rigs).
For ergonomic-critical applications (continuous push by personnel), spec Blickle LE or Heavy-Tec swivel with sealed precision wheel bearings. Combined ergonomic improvement reduces operator injury claims and meets OSHA limits without requiring power-assist.
Blickle offers three brake configurations: TLB (total lock - both swivel + wheel), RB (wheel-only brake), DR (directional swivel-only lock).
For OR equipment, pharma cleanroom carts, and any application where the equipment must not creep during use, spec TLB on all 4 casters. For carts that need directional tracking control (like long material handling carts), DR on rear + standard swivel on front delivers vehicle-style tracking.
45 Blickle swivel configurations in stock at CasterHQ Mansfield, TX. Same-day ship cutoff 2pm CST.
Special-order Blickle swivel SKUs ship from Germany in 3-5 weeks via expedited freight. For continuous-duty production replacement orders, recommend stocking spares to eliminate downtime.
| Series | Capacity | Wheel Material | Brake Option |
|---|---|---|---|
| LE Swivel | 200-700 lb | Polyurethane on Aluminum | TLB, RB, or none |
| Heavy-Tec Swivel | 1,000-4,000 lb | Polyurethane on Cast Iron | TLB or RB |
| Better-Tec Stainless Swivel | 300-1,500 lb | FDA Polyurethane on Stainless | TLB stainless brake |
| Best-Tec Extreme Swivel | 3,000-12,000 lb | Forged Steel or Heavy Poly | TLB heavy-duty |

"For ergonomic-critical applications, the combo of Blickle kingpinless swivel + sealed precision wheel bearing reduces total push force 30-40% vs. standard kingpin + roller bearing. For continuous-push cart specs this is the combo CasterHQ engineering recommends to meet OSHA continuous-push limits up to 1,500 lb cart loads without power-assist."
5-10x longer service life on kingpinless under shock loading. Kingpinless reaches 100,000+ cycles before swivel resistance increase, vs. 10,000-20,000 for kingpin.
Yes. Blickle uses standard plate dimensions (US 4×4-1/2 and 4-1/2×6-1/4 patterns) and standard threaded-stem sizes. Drop-in retrofit on most equipment.
Yes. Better-Tec series — 304 or 316 stainless yoke, FDA polyurethane wheels, sealed stainless bearings, IP69K wash-down rated.
Yes. Custom plate sizes, special brakes, tower mount, offset swivel center available. Lead 4-8 weeks via RFQ.
Yes. Net 30 with approved credit. PO accepted from tier-1 OEM, government, defense, aerospace accounts.
Yes. DR directional-lock variant locks swivel rotation only — used on rear of vehicle-style chassis for tracking control while front remains free-swivel.
Custom durometer, hub material, plate spec, or non-standard size. Engineering team turns RFQs same day.
