The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

Casters on the 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 plate pattern suit bake carts, metalworking fixtures, and debris-heavy floors. Catalog chips cover wheel diameters 3-1/4 to 12 in, phenolic treads, and capacities 1,100 to 15,000 lb. Pair swivel and rigid casters for tracking, or use total locks where the cart must park on a grade. Larger plates spread bolt stress on thick frames under continuous tow abuse.

Fiber-filled phenolic resin, molded under extreme pressure, gives Hamilton Plastex wheels the ability to carry heavy loads without damaging floors in intermittent service. They are non-marking, resist corrosion from oil, water, grease and commonly used acids or solvents, and will not spark. They can be operated continuously in temperatures ranging from -50° to 260° F and intermittently to 300° F.
