All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

This collection gathers plate-mount casters used on bake carts, metalworking fixtures, and debris-heavy floors. Expect wheel diameters 6, 8, 10 in, phenolic treads, and capacities 1,800 to 2,400 lb. Use kingpinless or heavy plate series when shock loads keep shearing kingpin races. Softer treads quiet finished floors; harder compounds last longer on chips, heat, and rough concrete. These heavy-duty options cover everyday bake carts, metalworking fixtures, and debris-heavy floors without jumping to extreme forged series.

Extended Service Caster Series with Plastex Phenolic Wheels

Fiber-filled phenolic resin, molded under extreme pressure, gives Hamilton Plastex wheels the ability to carry heavy loads without damaging floors in intermittent service. They are non-marking, resist corrosion from oil, water, grease and commonly used acids or solvents, and will not spark. They can be operated continuously in temperatures ranging from -50° to 260° F and intermittently to 300° F.
