Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Wheel Casters — Donut & Flat Tread

TPR (thermoplastic rubber / TPE) casters are specified when you need quiet rolling, non-marking floor protection, and wash-down durability. The elastomer tread is bonded to an industrial core for reliable performance in commercial and industrial service.

Donut tread vs flat tread
  • Donut (round) tread: less contact area → easier rolling and smoother turning
  • Flat tread: more contact area → maximum tread life and stability at rated loads
Chemical / wash-down performance

TPR wheels are commonly used around cleaning chemicals and frequent wash-down. They are a strong choice where you need floor protection plus resistance to water and typical facility cleaners.

Where TPR is NOT the right spec
  • High-impact shock loading, rough floors, heavy debris, floor seams
  • Powered towing / continuous towline service (spec polyurethane/steel/ductile as needed)
  • Extreme heat environments (spec phenolic/nylon/high-temp wheels instead)
