All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.
Schedule a facility caster inspection for your DFW rolling equipment. CasterHQ reviews carts, racks, stands, and mobile equipment for worn wheels, failed brakes, loose mounting, noise, floor damage, and replacement needs, then delivers a prioritized, quote-ready plan.
| Component | What we check | Failure signs |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel & tread | Material, wear, flat spots, bonding, debris pickup | Chunking, marking, vibration, hard roll |
| Bearing | Roll resistance, seizing, contamination | Drag, noise, heat, wobble |
| Brake / lock | Holding force, pedal function, swivel lock | Creep on slope, won't hold, broken pedal |
| Swivel raceway / kingpin | Play, shock damage, looseness | Shimmy, wander, kingpin failure |
| Mounting (plate/stem/hardware) | Bolt pattern, torque, stem fit, fatigue | Loose, elongated holes, bent plates |
| Load rating vs actual | Per-caster load against rating + safety factor | Overload wear, premature failure |
| Floor impact & noise | Marking, push-force, decibel issues | Floor damage, complaints, fatigue |
