All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.
On-site caster service for DFW healthcare facilities. CasterDoctor by CasterHQ replaces hospital cart casters, swaps marking or worn wheels for quiet non-marking treads, refits brakes, and standardizes casters across departments.
| Focus | What we check | Typical upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel tread | Wear, marking, cracking, contamination | Soft non-marking TPR or poly |
| Noise / roll | Squeak, vibration, hard roll | Precision-bearing quiet casters |
| Brakes / locks | Holding force on slope, pedal function | Total-lock brakes |
| Mounting | Loose plates, stems, fatigue | Correct plate or stem refit |
| Sanitation | Corrosion, porous surfaces | Stainless or sealed casters |
We replace worn or failed casters on crash carts, med carts, and supply carts with matched, non-marking, quiet-rolling units, then standardize the part so future replacements are simple.
Where the rig is sound but the tread is worn or marking floors, we replace the wheel with a soft, non-marking material that protects finished flooring and rolls quietly.
Soft thermoplastic and polyurethane treads with precision bearings cut noise and floor marking in patient areas without sacrificing roll.
For facilities standardizing across departments, we plan a phased replacement and a single matched caster spec so every cart uses the same part.
Hospitals, surgery centers, clinics, long-term care, and labs across Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, Irving, Grapevine, Plano, and surrounding DFW areas when qualified.
