This caster uses a 1/2-13 x 7/8 threaded stem with a key lock base, designed to fit most standard shopping carts. This is considered a universal replacement shopping cart and an OEM version meaning it is the authentic brand for all retail shopping carts in the USA.
2. Can I use this caster for other carts besides shopping carts?
Yes! While primarily designed for shopping carts, this caster can be used on other retail, warehouse, or utility carts that require similar specs.
3. Does this caster leave marks on floors?
No. The wheel is made from non-marking polyurethane, which protects flooring and rolls quietly on hard surfaces like tile, concrete, and wood.
4. Should I replace all four casters at once?
For best performance, we recommend replacing casters in pairs—either both front or both rear casters—to ensure even wear and balance.
5. Are these casters corrosion-resistant?
Yes. The zinc-plated finish protects against corrosion, making these casters durable even in humid or high-traffic environments.
6. How much weight can each caster hold?

This 5" Polyurethane Swivel Caster – 1/2-13 x 7/8" Threaded Stem is rated to 300 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Polyurethane wheel. Polyurethane protects finished floors, rolls quietly, and resists most chemicals while carrying heavy loads.
This caster uses a Threaded Stem mount (1/2"-13 x 7/8" stem). Stem casters press or thread into a socket - verify the stem diameter and length match your existing setup before ordering.
This is a Swivel caster. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -20°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Polyurethane wheel performs best on smooth to semi-smooth floors including sealed concrete, tile, and epoxy. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
