This Colson D4.05109.331 BRK7 SS 5" x 2" Phenolic Stainless Caster with Wheel Lock Brake is rated to 1000 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Phenolic wheel with a 2" tread width. Phenolic carries high loads on smooth, hard floors and tolerates heat, but transmits more shock than an elastomer tread.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 4" x 4-1/2" plate and a 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" slotted to 3" x 3" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel with Brake caster with a wheel brake. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. The brake locks the wheel to hold the load in place. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -40°F to 600°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Phenolic wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 6-1/2". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
