The Albion Casters 12" x 3" Industrial Rigid Caster is engineered for heavy-duty applications where durability and performance are critical. Ideal for demanding industrial environments, this rigid caster features a robust HD Raceway Green Poly-on-Iron wheel, ensuring smooth and reliable movement under substantial loads.
This Albion 90PY12501R 12" x 3" Poly-on-Iron Rigid Caster – 7.25" x 5.25" Plate is rated to 3500 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Cast Iron wheel with a 3" tread width. Steel / iron wheels give maximum capacity and durability on smooth, hard industrial floors and tolerate heat.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 5-1/4" x 7-1/4" plate and a 3-3/8" x 5-1/4" slotted to 4-1/8" x 6-1/8" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Rigid caster. Rigid casters track straight for directional stability. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -40°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Cast Iron wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 15.5". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
