This caster is designed with an HD Polyurethane wheel on a robust cast iron core to handle heavy loads with ease, offering a load capacity of 1500 lbs. Its ergonomic brake feature enhances safety by providing reliable control and secure locking when needed.
Featuring an industrial sealed precision ball bearing raceway, this caster requires no maintenance or additional lubrication throughout its lifespan. The wheel, measuring 6 inches in diameter with a 2-inch tread width, is constructed from high-density polyurethane with an HD cast iron core, combining durability with smooth operation. The wheel's flat tread profile and 95 Shore A hardness ensure excellent floor protection and maneuverability.
The caster features a 4" x 4-1/2" top plate with a bolt hole pattern that accommodates both 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" slotted and 3" x 3" configurations, making it versatile for various applications. The mounting height is 7.5 inches, and the swivel radius measures 7.03 inches with a swivel lead of 2.5 inches. The caster is finished with RoHS compliant zinc plating for added corrosion resistance and durability.

This Albion 28PF06228SFBK 6" x 2" Poly on Iron Ergonomic Caster – 1500 lb is rated to 1500 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Polyurethane wheel with a 2" tread width. Polyurethane protects finished floors, rolls quietly, and resists most chemicals while carrying heavy loads.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 4" x 4-1/2" plate and a 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" slotted to 3" x 3" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel with Face Contact Brake caster with a wheel brake. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. The brake locks the wheel to hold the load in place. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -20°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Polyurethane wheel performs best on smooth to semi-smooth floors including sealed concrete, tile, and epoxy. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 7.5". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
