This Heavy Duty 6-inch diameter by 2-inch wide Gate Caster is extremely easy to mount to any wooden or steel gate. Installing these casters on a gate allows you to open your gate easily and fix sagging gate issues many people experience while enabling you to have an easy opening, longer-lasting, and reliable gate. The mounting holes on each gate caster bracket directly screw into your wooden fence but can be screwed into other materials and are very easy to modify for just about any type of fence or gate. This 6" x 2" Gray Iron Spring Loaded Caster – 700 lb is rated to 700 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Cast Iron wheel with a 2" tread width. Steel / iron wheels give maximum capacity and durability on smooth, hard industrial floors and tolerate heat.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 4" x 11" plate. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
Rated for Up to 800°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Cast Iron wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
