Our stainless steel 5"x2" phenolic roller bearing swivel caster combines durability with smooth operation, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments. This caster features a robust 1000 lb load capacity, perfect for heavy-duty applications where reliability is crucial.
Phenolic wheels are composed of phenolic resin material, backed by macerated fabrics with a dense consistency throughout. These wheels excel in impact resistance and offer protection against grease, oil, and most chemicals. The non-metallic, spark-proof construction makes them suitable for hazardous environments.
This Colson 5"x2" Phenolic Swivel Stainless Caster – 1000 lb is rated to 1000 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Phenolic wheel with a 2" tread width. Phenolic carries high loads on smooth, hard floors and tolerates heat, but transmits more shock than an elastomer tread.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 4" x 4-1/2" plate and a 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" slotted to 3" x 3" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel with Brake caster with a wheel brake. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. The brake locks the wheel to hold the load in place. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -40°F to 600°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Phenolic wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 6.5". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
