W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

You will see top plates around 5-1/4 x 7-1/4, wheel diameters 3-1/4, 6 in, and cast iron and steel treads across the SKUs listed below. When floors see chemicals or washdowns, prefer sealed bearings and non-absorbent wheel compounds. Larger plates spread bolt stress on thick frames under continuous tow abuse.
