From the Shop Floor · Beef processing plant

A meat processing plant near Amarillo re-spec'd 90 transfer carts from 304 stainless to 316 stainless after chloride exposure caused corrosion at the 14-month mark. The 316 upgrade cost $15/caster; avoided fleet replacement was $5,400.
