This Caster is commonly used on Baker Racks that take a Stem type mount instead of the bakery rack plate version. This caster is most commonly used in the food service industry on baker racks but can also be used in other industries as well.
This Caster listing includes a High-Temperature Glass-Filled nylon Wheel which is great for withstanding temperatures up to 425° Degrees Fartenheight Continuous use and up to 550° Degrees Farenheiught intermittently. This wheel is an excellent choice for autoclave and steam cleaning applications and has superior abrasion and impact resistance. The Durometer of the wheel is an 85 Shore D (+/-5). The most common applications we see this stem used on is bakery racks also known as oven racks. Be sure to check your current casters on your bakery racks prior to ordering to make sure you do not have the plate version oven rack caster instead which can be found here.

This 5" Hi-Temp Glass-Filled Nylon Stem Caster – 3/4" x 2" Stem is rated to 350 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Nylon wheel with a 1-1/4" tread width. Nylon resists chemicals and moisture and carries high loads, which suits washdown and wet environments.
This caster uses a top-plate mount. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
Rated for Up to 550°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Nylon wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 6". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
