All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

The Albion 95PX16809STRL is a 16" x 5" cast iron plate caster rated 8470 lbs per caster, mounted on a 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" plate. It is built for industrial use where part-number-exact specification, capacity, and bearing life take priority. The 16" diameter rolls cleanly over expansion joints and floor seams smaller wheels stall on. In stock at CasterHQ Mansfield, TX with same-day shipping on quantities of 1-100 placed before 2:00 PM Central. BAA / TAA documentation available on request for federal, defense, and aerospace procurement.
I spec Albion HD Raceway when the customer needs heavy capacity with hardened raceways that survive shock loading. The 95PX16809STRL earns its place when rough concrete and shock loading are the controlling spec. Pair 16" on the steered axle with a matching rigid version on the trailing axle for true four-position cart kinematics. If your floor has expansion joints over 1/2" wide, step up to a larger wheel diameter.
Albion encodes its part numbers by series, wheel material, wheel diameter, plate size, bearing type, and mount style. The 95PX16809STRL is decoded by your CasterHQ engineer at order time — call us at 844-439-4335 for a full breakdown.
8470 lbs per caster dynamic. On a 4-caster cart with even load distribution and a 1.3x safety factor for moving loads, that yields the rated working capacity per cart.
Yes for cast iron and steel wheels. 16" diameter rolls over expansion joints and seams cleanly. For polished or epoxy floors, ask us about poly-on-iron or thermoplastic options.
Albion's industrial casters are USA-manufactured. We provide BAA/TAA-compliant Country-of-Origin documentation on request for federal procurement, typical turnaround under 24 hours.

The Albion Casters Super-Duty TRL 16" x 5" Polyurethane-on-Iron Wheel Caster is a top choice for industrial and commercial applications that demand durability and reliability. With its large 16-inch diameter and 5-inch width, this caster is built to handle substantial loads while maintaining stability and performance. The innovative polyurethane-on-iron wheel design combines the strength of iron with the shock-absorbing qualities of polyurethane, providing smooth and stable movement even in the toughest conditions.
The 8.5" x 8.5" plate ensures excellent load distribution and stability, reducing wobble and enhancing safety during operation. This caster is engineered to absorb shocks and vibrations, resulting in quieter operation and prolonged equipment life. Ideal for use in factories, warehouses, and heavy-duty settings, it supports a wide range of equipment, including carts, trolleys, and machinery. Choose the Albion Casters Super-Duty TRL for reliable performance and superior durability.
This Albion 95PX16809STRL 16" x 5" Cast Iron Caster — 8470 lb is rated to 8470 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Cast Iron wheel with a 5" tread width. Steel / iron wheels give maximum capacity and durability on smooth, hard industrial floors and tolerate heat.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" plate and a 7" x 7" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
Rated for -20°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Cast Iron wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 19". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
We accept purchase orders and offer Net 30 on approved accounts, ACH, and all major cards, plus tax-exempt ordering with a resale or exemption certificate. Volume discounts apply automatically; request a bulk quote for large or recurring orders. Stock items carry a 30-day return policy in unused condition (made-to-order items are non-returnable once production starts).
