Boasting a load capacity of 375 lbs at 3 mph, this caster ensures reliable performance. Wheel dimensions are set at a 4-inch diameter with a 1.5-inch face, designed for stable and smooth rolling. The overall height is 5 inches, with a swivel offset of 1.125 inches for excellent maneuverability. It features a 4 x 5 1/8 inch mounting plate, a 3 x 4 inch bolt hole pattern, and is compatible with a 0.375-inch mounting bolt. The caster sports a bright zinc finish with a striking crimson red wheel for functional style, built with durable metal and a straight roller bearing for efficiency.

This Hamilton S-224-MH 4" x 1 1/2" Metal Swivel Caster – 375 lb is rated to 375 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Cast Iron wheel. Steel / iron wheels give maximum capacity and durability on smooth, hard industrial floors and tolerate heat.
This caster uses a top-plate mount. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel caster. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -20°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Cast Iron wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
