The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

Plate sizes: 6-1/2 x 7-1/2, 8-1/2 x 8-1/2Bolt holes: 4-1/2 x 6; 7 x 7Diameter: 3-1/4 to 12 inTread: 2, 3, 4, 5 inCapacity: up to 30,000 lb
Match a 6-1/2 x 7-1/2 top plate when bolting casters under warehouse carts on epoxy and smooth concrete. Typical builds show wheel diameters 3-1/4 to 12 in, polyurethane, cast iron, and steel treads, and capacities 800 to 30,000 lb. Harder poly rolls easier on smooth epoxy; softer poly cushions vibration on uneven slabs. Larger plates spread bolt stress on thick frames under continuous tow abuse.
