The Stevens BWA-M is the big wheel attachment for Stevens magnesium appliance trucks such as the MRT. It adds two 10 in flat free or air tires on a silver bracket behind the truck's wheels, so a tipped-back load rolls on four wheels over lawns and gravel. It weighs 19 lb with flat free tires or 26 lb with air tires and does not fit kickout wheel trucks. Stevens has not published a load rating for it.

About the BWA-M

The BWA-M is Stevens' big wheel attachment for its magnesium ESCORT appliance trucks. Stevens' photo shows it on an MRT: a silver bracket on the back of the truck carrying two 10 in tires behind the truck's wheels. With the load tipped back, the MRT rolls on four wheels across lawns, sand and gravel.

Flat free tires are 19 lb and air tires 26 lb on Stevens' price list. The red BWA-S is the steel truck version.

How to use the BWA-M

1. Fit it. The attachment mounts to the back of the truck. A turnbuckle attaches and removes it.
2. Load the truck as usual. Strap the appliance to the truck and tip it back.
3. Roll on four wheels. With the load tipped back, the 10 in big wheels carry it with the truck's own wheels, so the truck supports the load instead of you.
4. Stairs. We recommend taking the attachment off before you use the truck's crawler treads on stairs.

• It adds weight to a light truck: an MRT with the air version is 67 lb in total. Fit it for long lawn walks and leave it off the rest of the time.
• We recommend taking it off before you use the crawler treads on stairs.
• Stevens has not published a load rating. Keep the load within the MRT's 500 lb rating.
• Stevens ships from Augusta, Georgia by FedEx in about 72 hours. It is not stocked in our Texas warehouse, so order ahead of the job.

About Stevens

Stevens Appliance Truck Company has built hand trucks in Augusta, Georgia since 1936 and describes itself as the oldest continuous hand truck maker in the United States. Every unit is built in Augusta with American-made components and labor.
