All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Pick your application and see which standards typically govern the casters, what they require, and the caster spec that meets them, from NSF and 3-A in food to ANSI ESD in electronics, MIL-SPEC in defense, and ANSI MH-26 push/pull limits everywhere people move loads.
Caster compliance is driven by the environment, not the caster. Food and beverage call for NSF and 3-A sanitary design in stainless; electronics and cleanrooms call for ANSI ESD conductive paths; defense and aerospace call for MIL-SPEC traceability and FOD control; and any application where people push loads is governed by the ANSI MH-26 and Liberty Mutual push and pull force limits. Match the standard first, then the load and floor.
The applicable standards and spec update instantly.
This selector lists the standards that commonly apply to caster selection in each environment. It is a starting point, not a compliance certification. Confirm the exact standard, revision, and any facility or customer requirements with your quality and compliance team before specifying.
