B&P Hand Truck Frames

Aluminum and steel replacement frames for B&P Liberator and Aristocrat hand trucks. Every frame is bolted top and bottom with aircraft-quality rivets to spread stress across four-sided ribbed cross-straps so a frame outlasts the wheels under it.

Pick the right B-code — complete spec table

Every replacement frame on this page maps to a B-code from B&P’s configuration system. Match the code stamped on your old frame (or check your A-B-C-D part number) before ordering. If your hand truck wasn’t made by B&P, these frames will not fit — check our universal hand truck parts instead.

B-Code Frame Type Capacity Common Use Material
B1 Straight back, standard 600 lb Liberator daily route Aluminum
B1#02 Straight back, red anodized 600 lb Brand-color fleet builds Aluminum
B5 Curved back 600 lb Drum, keg, barrel work Aluminum
B10 Straight back, lighter spec 500 lb Junior & Senior Liberator Aluminum
B11 Extending straight back 500 lb Tall or oversize cartons Aluminum
B14 Extending with U-brace 500 lb Appliance & vending Aluminum + steel
B-Steel HD steel straight back 900–1000 lb Industrial & foundry Steel
Engineer tip — The B-code is the second letter in your truck’s configuration string (example: A1-B1-CA2-D6SS). It’s usually stamped on the inside of the lower frame rail or printed on the original spec card. Don’t guess from photos — B1 and B10 look identical but use different rivet hole spacing.

Why B&P frames outlast the rest of the truck

Every B&P aluminum frame uses 6063-T6 extruded rail with four-sided ribbed cross-straps. The cross-straps are bolted top and bottom, not just at the nose plate, so impact load gets distributed instead of concentrating at one weld. That’s why an aluminum B&P frame holds 600 lb without flexing while a stamped-steel competitor frame at the same capacity will start showing cracks at the crossbar within 18 months of route work.

Military-grade rivets keep the frame square under repeat curb impacts. When the wheel set, handle, or nose plate wears out, the frame is usually still serviceable — which is why CasterHQ stocks frames as a separate SKU instead of forcing a full-truck replacement.

Frequently asked — B&P frame replacement

Are B&P frames interchangeable across years?Yes — B&P has kept the A-B-C-D code system consistent since the 1980s. A B1 frame from a 1995 Liberator accepts the same handle and nose plate as a 2025 B1. Rivet hole pattern hasn’t changed.
Can I swap an aluminum frame for steel on the same truck? No. Aluminum frames use lighter rivets and the steel handle/nose plate hardware is heavier. Always replace aluminum with aluminum and steel with steel.
What’s the difference between B1 and B10?Capacity. B1 is rated 600 lb, B10 is rated 500 lb. B10 uses thinner extrusion to shave weight on lighter-duty trucks. The mounting holes are similar but not identical — don’t cross-fit them.
Will a B&P frame fit a Magliner or Harper truck? No. B&P uses a proprietary hole pattern. For universal hand-truck frames see our complete hand truck section.
How long does an aluminum B&P frame last?15+ years of daily route use is common. Frames usually outlast 3–4 sets of wheels and 2 sets of handles.
