All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.
A stretcher with a worn fifth wheel or failed brake fights the transport team and risks the patient. CasterDoctor restores straight-tracking, light-steer, positive-lock stretcher mobility on-site.
A worn central fifth wheel makes a loaded stretcher fight every turn. We restore straight-track steering so one transporter can corner a loaded stretcher safely.
A stretcher that creeps after the brake is set is a transfer-injury risk. Positive-locking caster brakes hold under the patient's full weight.
A loaded stretcher rolling on worn casters rattles the whole hallway. Sealed-bearing, engineered-tread casters run quiet.
Same-day on-site walk across the DFW metroplex. We catalog every cart, wheel, and stem dimension — with push-force and decibel baselines per asset class.
An engineered upgrade plan keyed to your noise and push-force targets. Locked spec sheet, transparent line-item quote, Net 30 invoicing.
Our crew arrives at your designated staging area to swap and repair on-site. After-hours and pickup-and-return options when patient flow requires it.
Fifth-wheel and corner-caster service so a single transporter can steer a loaded stretcher through tight corners.
Every brake is tested under loaded weight — no creep during patient transfers.
Force-gauge readings before and after. Less push/pull load on EVS and patient-transport staff.
Each stretcher and gurney logged by asset tag with before-and-after push-force and decibel data.
"Healthcare facilities deserve a single point of accountability — from the first inspection through the last wheel installed. That's how we run every job."
Submissions route directly to and the CasterDoctor crew. Once your facility is approved as a vendor, we'll provide a dedicated work-order email address for ongoing service requests.
