All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

CasterHQ tutorial showing how to safely use the 1,600 lb capacity appliance dolly to move a vending machine or safe with tie-down straps and notched cradle. 1 minute, no narration — just the move.
Per-dolly capacity must exceed appliance/safe weight + 25 percent headroom. Most residential refrigerators weigh 250-350 lb; commercial refrigerators 400-800 lb; safes 500-2,000 lb. The 1,600 lb dolly covers most appliance and small safe moves.
Notched cradle is critical — holds the appliance vertical and prevents tipping during the move. Standard appliance dollies have a curved cradle profile. Safe dollies have a flatter, wider cradle.
Always use the tie-down straps when moving. Even small movements (tipping forward, backward, side-to-side) can shift the load and cause injury. Straps go around the appliance and secure to the dolly frame.
Pneumatic wheels for outdoor and rough terrain. Solid rubber for indoor smooth floors with shock absorption. Both work; pneumatic offers smoother ride.
Need to move a heavier safe or industrial appliance? Contact CasterHQ for spec on heavier-capacity dollies.
Designed for upright heavy equipment: safes, vending machines, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, and HVAC equipment. The notched cradle and tie-down straps hold the equipment vertical during the move.
1,600 lb capacity. Covers most residential and small commercial appliances and safes. For heavier moves over 1,600 lb, contact us for industrial-spec options.
Yes — tie-down straps are included with the dolly. Use them on every move to prevent the load from shifting.
Yes for loads under 800 lb. For 800-1,600 lb loads, use a second operator for safety. The dolly handles the weight but tipping and steering benefit from two people on heavy loads.
About 60-80 lb empty. Heavy enough to provide stability but light enough for one person to maneuver when empty.
Most safe/appliance dollies use 10-inch wheels (pneumatic or solid rubber) for ground clearance over thresholds, dock plates, and uneven concrete.
Ships via FedEx Ground in 1-3 business days from our Mansfield, TX facility. Cutoff 2pm Central.
