All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.
Caster plate mounting hardware — carriage bolts, slotted hex bolts, lock nuts, and washers for installing plate-mount casters. Standard 3/8-16 and 1/2-13 sizes covering the most common caster plate bolt patterns. Bulk packs for fleet installations and OEM use. Stocked at our Mansfield, TX facility.

Plate casters need 4 bolts per caster — typically 3/8-16 or 1/2-13. Carriage bolts have a square shoulder that prevents the bolt from spinning during installation. Slotted hex bolts allow tightening from below.
3/8-16 most common on light-medium casters. 1/2-13 on heavy-duty.
Bolt length = plate thickness + equipment material thickness + 1/4 inch. Too short and the bolt won't engage; too long and threads stick out.
Carriage: square shoulder prevents spin. Slotted: tighten from below with a slotted screwdriver.
Caster mounting bolts vibrate loose under use. Use nylon-insert lock nuts or thread locker to prevent loosening.
